Decorating for Christmas

The Holiday season is in full swing with Christmas a few short days away. Are you ready for Christmas, have you decorated for the Holiday Season?

There are many people struggling or going through rough times right now. Decorating for Christmas may feel like a waste of time or not even worth it. Over the years I have heard many people say, "Why should I decorate, I am the only one who will see it," or "It's too much work."

I want to encourage you to think otherwise! If you are able to decorate safely I encourage you to do so. You don't have to decorate your entire home, just getting a few ornaments out or hanging a string of lights can add a big impact to the atmosphere of your home. If you are not able to hang lights like you used to you can lay them across a table or hutch.

Here are a few examples of the benefits of decorating your home; Looking through your decor, seeing those pieces from Christmas past can bring back good memories of happy times. In some parts of the country it can be very dreary this time of year, and can get dark very early, the bright lights and pretty decor can make your environment inviting and warm. Just the act of decorating will be an accomplishment, completing tasks can create happiness.
