June 6th is National Gardening Exercise Day! That's a mouthful to say, say that five times fast!
I recommend changing into some comfortable clothing before the activity. I was getting a little head start on my yard work after church the other day, when the photo was taken. Proceed with caution if you are wearing heels or wedges.
This is a great day to get outside, whether you have an actual garden, a small or large yard, or maybe just a few flower pots to take care of, it's important to keep moving our bodies as much as is comfortable for you. Sometimes exercise can be monotonous so doing something fun like gardening gets us moving and we aren't thinking about it as much.
Gardening Exercise Day is even a good time to stop and smell the roses as they say. Take a little time to enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air!
